Networking Our Way

It’s a well known fact that a common way that businesses, especially new or small businesses, gain new customers, clients and contacts is via networking.

Getting face to face with a potential client, or someone who might know a potential client, is the only way you really know whether you can do business with them or not but traditional networking events can sometimes stifle productive networking as many people tend to gravitate towards those they may already know, never getting the opportunity to meet others who could be great business contacts. Once networking groups are established that can also mean that existing members tend to only network with existing members, again stifling the opportunity to meet new people.

Connecting Networks

At Counterpoint Networking we change all that! We exist to connect existing networks in Kent and we work to ensure that at the meetings everyone speaks to everyone!

Informal Meetings

We meet every month, at Port Lympne Animal Park to network over breakfast or a buffet with a cash bar (depending on the time of day!). At each meeting there is a talk by a keeper, or a chance to meet some of the animals. We know most of us have very busy lives and are members of several clubs, associations and network groups – so we alternate between a morning and an evening meeting to give people a greater chance to attend. This also allows us to meet a wider range of animals depending on the type that best suits them. And it’s all done very informally and in the spirit of a social event but you don’t have to dress up or bring a present!

All are welcome, the more the merrier! It’s helpful if you can let us know that you are coming to ensure we cater for enough people.

In addition to the meetings at Port Lympne Wild Animal Park, we offer an informal get-together at the Red Lion Pub in Hythe on the last Tuesday of the month, which we’ve entitled ‘Networkers Anonymous’ as they came about when our members wanted to add in another meeting during the month!

Join our mailing list using the link on the right to find out when our next meetings are.

Meeting Investment

The main meeting cost is £10. And if you hold an Aspinall Maestro Prepaid Card the meeting cost is £5.

If you are a member of Counterpoint Networking you do not have to pay to attend the main meeting.

The Networkers Anonymous meeting is £5 on the door if you want to join in the sandwich buffet, nothing if you don’t (but don’t even think about pinching a sandwich!!).

Membership

If you would like to join the group the monthly membership is £9.99 (inc VAT) payable by monthly card payment (or standing order).  Membership gives you an entry in our website directory including a link back to your own website, the opportunity to showcase your business on our blog as well as submit relevant articles with a link back to your site, entry to our meetings and a name badge. You can join here.

Don’t worry about losing track of when meetings will be either. We send out emails letting members and visitors know when and where the next meeting is being held and you can always find the dates on this site too.
