I have been remiss in reporting back about the July meeting that was hosted for us at the South Kent Gateway offices in Folkestone.
As usual it was quite a noisy meeting with a number of members and quite a few guests too, especially those from the Gateway who joined us for the meeting. One day I will remember to take our camera and post up some photos!
Jason Martin welcomed everyone to the South Kent Gateway and explained what they do. They are government funded, as a service provided by Business Link. The Gateway exists to provide support for people wanting to start a business who perhaps lack the confidence, work background, qualifications or financial stability to start a business. They help people to get their business planning, structure, marketing and financial management up and running.
We had a great buffet including some gorgeous African food provided Rosa Jenson; as usual there were a few people who had already eaten before coming out – who still managed to eat as the food smelt so good!
We will also be holding our January meeting at the South Kent Gateway office. Our next meeting in August is at the Hythe Imperial.
